Whitfield recently celebrated a major milestone of completing over 1,000 surgeries for children.
In 2013 Whitfield achieved accreditation for children’s services through CHKS (Capita Healthcare Knowledge Systems), an international accreditation body which is focused on improving the safety of patient care. The hospital accreditation process aims to improve health services for patients by working with organisations to develop their capacity for patient safety and continuous quality improvement.
Achieving CHKS accreditation for children’s services was an important step for Whitfield and a further indication of its commitment to clinical excellence.
Whitfield has a dedicated team of specialist children’s nurses, which along with its consultant surgeons and anaesthetists are committed to the provision of this important service.
