Nutrition plays a big role in the Whitfield Clinic. Due to the variety of our patients & customers, our food range runs from freshly prepared salads to comfort foods and everything in between. We provide a helpful balance of foods putting the patient & customer in control of what they choose to eat.
As part of this commitment to our patients and customers, we are running a New Year’s Health Initiative alongside RTE’s Operation Transformation until the end of March. Each day, at the Atrium Café and also on our Inpatient Menus, we will provide an Operation Transformation hot meal option. This meal has been developed to provide a similar nutrient profile to the RTE Operation Transformation recipes. These daily options are clearly labelled helping to make a healthier choice.
Our head chef Romain Bierry outlines his team’s commitment to giving his patients and customers the healthy choice “Our commitment to our patients & customers is to ensure that we provide them with daily, market-fresh deliveries of produce from our suppliers. Each morning our kitchen team creates every meal from scratch to ensure that they enjoy higher quality food with more taste.”
“We are delighted to see that our patients and customers are supporting the initiative as three out of five of our customers are now choosing our Operation Transformation option” explains Whitfield’s Catering Manager Alan O’Connor, “Every day we invest a huge effort into helping our patients and customers eat right by making the healthy option the easy option. The food on their plate is the result of intensive work and commitment by our nutritionist, food development team, chefs and local suppliers.
